Hazelnut oil is a key ingredient at the heart of our Treatment Oil formulas. In 2017, the Clarins Group carried out a hazelnut traceability diagnosis in order to ensure that only those sourced in respect of the soil and of people are used and that agricultural and social best practices are followed. The main supply is sourced from a cooperative in Southwest France with more than 4,000 hectares of hazelnut trees and 160 farmers. The other supply source in Turkey supports large-scale agriculture in an area of 702,000 hectares located on the Black Sea and comprises 9,000 small producers (2 hectares on average).
